Hello lovelies!
So, this is something that happened to me a few days ago and I thought it would be worth sharing for anyone else who might be interested or would like to try this!
One of the deities I work with is Frau Holle, also known as Old Mother Frost, who's a maternal winter goddess who, amongst other things, watches over the souls of children. As her candle was burning, I got the overwhelming sensation to use coffee and baby's breath in the morning, along with some star anise. When I asked her for clarification, she told me my children who are still unborn, wanted to talk to me and give me a message.
So, I gathered the three ingredients prescribed to me:
Coffee, which is both a stimulans and a purificator in order to get the energy moving.
Star Anise, in order to facilitate communication with realms beyong the material one.
Baby's breath, a small flower associated with children and children's souls.
I then followed these steps on intuition:
I brew the coffee and poured it in a small, white bowl, since that's the colour most associated with Frau Holle.
I plucked two stems of baby's breath from the bouquets sitting around the house, and then broke those off into three smaller stems, before putting them in the bowl.
I put three star anise in the bowl as well.
This was done all by singing 'Come Little Children', a song I heavily associate with Frau Holle and her taking care of children's souls.
I put the bowl outside in my garden under some foliage shelter.
I went back inside, asking when the message would come, and got an overwhelming 'Now!', before getting the urge to get my tarot deck.
I got my tarot deck, shook them and began laying a spread on instinct. The result was three rows of two cards. Two cards, just like the two original stems, forming one message, and three cards like the three smaller stems of baby's breath, representing three souls.
Now, whether this method was meant just for me, I am not sure, but nevertheless, I think it was at least interesting to share. It was a pretty emotional experience, but definitely one worth remembering and one which filled me with a lot of nice, warm, happy feelings. I hope you don't mind if I keep the messages for myself.
