So, this beautiful, sleek tree has probably some of the most intense bunch of symbolism. Not because the meanings are numerous in types, but because of the tree's strong ties to the Underworld.
Death is probably its most direct meaning linked to it, as well as the two other facets that come with it: mourning and the life after death.
However, there is more to the Underworld connection than straight up death. More importantly, the tree represents the linking of worlds, and furthermore, eternal life and immortality.
